Best Pathfinder: Kingmaker Mods You Can’t Play Without

Pathfinder: Kingmaker has only been out for a couple of months now, but isometric RPG fans have already put a fair amount of time into it, including the modding community. Here are a few of the best Pathfinder: Kingmaker mods you can’t play without.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker Mods You Can’t Play Without

Fast Travel

Fast traveling shouldn’t ever take a long time, hence the keyword “fast.” This Pathfinder: Kingmaker mod solves that problem by introducing a time scale slider for fast travel in the options menu.

Once installed, speed can be adjusted for exploration (100%-300%), Battle (50%-150%), and Global map (100%-200%). It’s an efficient time saver and is perfect for people who want to experience things more quickly.

Starting a game with a specific class, only to find out that you don’t really want to play it can really suck. Your choice is to either tough it out or start over and try another class, which may yield the same result.

Thanks to Respecialization, you’ll be able to reset level, class, skills, feats, abilities, traits, stats, race, gender, portrait at any point in the game. While hero and companion levels change to zero, equipment, experience and alignment are all saved.

Ecumberment Limit

Realism in video games is pretty fun sometimes. Other times it can be a heavy burden.

Just like in real life, players can suffer from encumberment if they are carrying too many items in Pathfinder: Kingmaker. While encumberment certainly adds to the strategy of things, a lot of people simply aren’t interested in working around that type of gameplay element.

Installing Carry More gives the option to increase your party’s carrying capacity by setting your own encumbrance limit. This mod allows you a lot more freedom to carry whatever you want, instead of having to pick and choose.

Slower Weariness

If human beings could have a real life mod that lets them sleep less, it would sure make being productive a lot easier. The same can be said for Pathfinder: Kingmaker, as fatigue and exhaustion set in as the game progresses.

Rest Less is a mod that adds an option to set a multiplier for the time until the party starts becoming fatigued, ranging from 0.1 to 30. These higher or lower values can make the game easier or harder. The lower the value, the quicker fatigue occurs.

Heroes of Stolen Lands

Just like customizing looks in any RPG, Pathfinder: Kingmaker’s portraits are a novelty item that builds character’s personality. While they may not exactly have a specific effect on gameplay, they are still important to many players.

Heroes of Stolen Lands is a massive collection of high-quality portraits, adding over 234 new images to the game. These beautiful images will really make you feel like your character is coming off the screen.

Scale XP

Cheats have been around since the creation of gaming, helping gamers with less time or skill bend the rules in order to enjoy it there own way. Increasing the rate at which you gain experience has always been a common cheat or mod.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker’s Scale XP mod allows players to adjust just how much experience the party gains from encounters. Set the bar up to 500% if you want a cake walk or scale it to almost nothing to experience a real grind.

Zoom Distance

Whether it’s simply looking at the action close up or attempting to get a screenshot of things, the camera angles provided in isometric RPGs aren’t usually very helpful or visually pleasing.  Pathfinder: Kingmaker is no different, as it features a top-down view, with the camera located high above the action.

Zoom Unlock does exactly what you’d think, giving the option to set the zoom limit distance, as well as the field of view. One small change that comes alongside this is that using larger minimal than maximal value will cause the scroll direction to flip.
